Air project studies image processing for dynamic remote sensed
data.
Applications involve natural evolutive phenomena
characterization and environmental evolution.
We are particularly interested in the following topics :
- What mathematical formulations are relevant to a proper
modeling of natural structures and their evolution? What
physical information of the underlying phenomena may be used
for image processing?
- How include qualitative results in numerical modeling and
evolution?
- Is it possible to view image processing as a pre-processing
step for numerical modeling : structure's localization,
parameters identification ...
- How specify the development of environmental oriented
database systems including image processing and
visualization?
Presently, we are mainly concerned with two types of research
works :
- The modeling of natural structures obtained from
Ground-Sea-Earth remote sensing, and
- The temporal evolution of natural phenomena.
