GAMMA
In 1996, the GAMMA project was created in the context of the restructuration of the former projects Modulef and Menusin. The topics covered by Gamma are in short the automatic mesh generation methods developed for finite element purposes.
Methods, algorithms as well as related softwares are developed for classical mesh generation purposes. This task turns nowadays in studying in details the way in which such algorithms can be extended in the context of adaptive mesh generation so as to permit to design automatic loop of computations. The latter being coupled with a posteriori error estimates to make the control of the solution quality possible.
In this respect, isotropic as well as anisotropic mesh generation methods are developed, even in the case of surface meshing.
Parallelization aspects are also covered including automatic partitioning and post-treatments in parallel of large size meshes and solutions.
