Abstract

The INRIA-I3S/CNRS-University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis project works on three main domains:

1. parallel and distributed discrete event simulation,
2. parallel object-oriented languages,
3. communication and mapping in distributed architectures.

Current developments include :

• PROSIT, a sequential and distributed object-oriented workbench for discrete event simulation
• STAT-TOOL, a distributed package for the statistical analysis of the results of simulations
• C++//, a parallel extension to C++
• EIFFEL//, a parallel extension to Eiffel
• enhancements and optimisations of communications in portable environments for distributed computing (PVM, MPI )
• new simulation methods based on evolution equations.
