This grant, funded by regional and National support, covers 3 areas: an experimental platform for research on telecomnumication networks, a software and informatics platform (including a virtual reality environment, a medical imaging platform, and a peer-to-peer computing grid), and a experimental platform on the usage of information systems. Athena is being funded through the medical imaging platform, to develop its electro-encephalography laboratory.
