The ANR SYSCOMM Project MODECOL (January 2009/June 2012) involves three Inria project-teams (MODEMIC, MAESTRO and TOSCA) with the UMR Ecobio (Ecosystèmes, Biodiversité, Evolution, Rennes), the University of La Rochelle and the Universities of Houston and Berkeley. The aim of the Inria component is to propose individual-based models for terrestrial prairial plant communities' dynamics in the context of water purifying from nitrate and pesticides. The results of the Inria component have been published [13] This year was also dedicated to the edition of a special issue of Ecological Modelling on “Modelling clonal plant growth” [22] .
